A 3 days trip to Buenos Aires to meet Delfina in her hometown. For one day Catalinam from Iguazu joined us and we had a great time inthis great city.
Two wonderful days with Catalina in Iguazu. To tell the truth we went the second day to the brazilien side and we had better weather on that day so we could see the rainbow...
A four days trip to the Amazon River and the Rio Negro to get a feeling for the jungle, to meet an indigenous tribe, to see the pink dolphins and the spot where Rio Negro and the Amazon River meet.
A fantastic day in Manaus with Fernanda. Manaus became one of the richest cities in South America during the late 1800s due to the global rubber boom. The immense wealth generated by harvesting natural rubber earned it the nickname "Paris of the Tropics," leading to the construction of opulent European-style architecture, including the famous Teatro Amazonas.
While its status as the absolute wealthiest city globally ended with the collapse of the rubber trade, today it remains a vital economic hub in the Amazon.

Here are the photos of my trip to Rio De Janeiro visiting my friend Mavie. We stayed three days at a hotel right at the Copa Cabana and made a lot of trips. We went to the historic downtown, with a lot of portuguese architecture, the Opera, the Imperial Palace, the Biblioteca Real Gabinete de Leitura (the old portuguese reading room), the Museum of Tomorrow by Calatrava, the Sugarloaf, the Jesus-Statue, Ipanema and Estátua de Tom Jobim (Girl from Ipanema), the Cathedral, the Sambadrome, the historic Santa Teresa tramline and so on and so on. Great.

After my stay in Panama-City in summer 2020 I visited Costa Rica meeting Flori. Here are the pix from Puerto Viejo DeTalamanca at the carrenean sea.

One of my very, very early trips after I started my project. In 2000 my photographer Arnd Oetting had an exhibition at Tally's Fine Art Gallery (check the photos in the gallery!) with different works about fish and dolls. The twin towers were still standing and RACHEL and I had some great hot summerdays in New York City. By the way, I have no clue, why RACHEL was wearing this strange golden swimsuit in the central park.

What a wonderful day with my friend Renata from Montevideo, Uruguay, in her hometown. Unfortunately it was Whitsunday and as Uruguay is pretty much Catholic, everything was closed. Renata picked me up at the harbour and we started our walk at he Mercado del Puerto, walked through the old city center Ciudad Vieja, (very cute), passed the Teatro Solisa and ended up at Plaza Independencia, the main square that connects the old town to the rest of the city. And of course the Palacio Salvo, the famous historic building. After a short break we spent the afternoon at the Parque Jose Enrique Rodó and on the baks of Rio De La Plata. Click through the photos and see for yourself.
